No, not that one. This one is a favourite with the fans, and sure to make a positive impact on the world. We are of course talking about being elected to the European Association of Employer Branding Agencies, not the stalled footballing juggernaut!
One of our earliest decisions from a business perspective was to decide if we were going to follow the old fashioned agency network model of either maintaining small satellite offices in big cities (expensive to clients), or to build an informal network (ineffective and slow), or to simply choose to work with internationally mobile team members (agile, responsive and expert). The latter path appealed most to us and our clients and so we put that model into action. We describe ourselves as truly international rather than 'global' as a result. Ready to work where and when required, with home office in London.
As you can imagine, having now worked on the ground in more than 45 markets worldwide, we’ve met some awesome people along the way. And, we kept bumping into a few of the best at industry events and meet-ups. So when we heard that there was an association forming, where regular meetings would drive the conversation forward about employer brand internationally, we wanted to be a part of that.
The founder members put us through a robust application process - including a pitch where Mark & I were made to wait on a decision. But, ultimately we were asked to join, and we’ve been involved in some truly interesting conversations about the future of employer brand already - and been involved in delivering work from Norway, through Spain and across EMEA.
You can find out more about EAEBA here, including our charter and ambitions. See case studies and find out more about the member agencies. It’s very much worth a look.
And. If you wanted to hear first hand from ten of the agency leaders, we’re running an event on the 19th of May, where we’ll discuss digital transformation across Hungary, Estonia, Norway, Russia, UK, Netherlands and Spain. Full details for the event are here.
